The challenge

The dealership’s issue report flagged 245 offers under the Vehicles policy for Free listings. The existing feed already used the cars category and included Vehicle Ads.

We needed to separate the destination issue from the quality of the vehicle data, then check the feed against the actual inventory.

What we found

  • Every feed price omitted the $225 dealer fee included in the website’s total.
  • Two motorcycles were classified as cars.
  • Five classic cars needed historical VIN review.
  • Source targeting and visible vehicle availability needed attention.

The work

Review every record

Matched all 245 listings to their vehicle pages. Preserved the existing IDs, titles, VINs and mileage.

Correct the feed draft

Used dealer-inclusive prices, larger main images and consistent vehicle attributes. Grouped inventory by body style and vehicle generation.

Document the next steps

Prepared a 238-vehicle draft. Excluded two motorcycles and held five classics for VIN review. Documented account and website checks.

Earlier stage: 243 approved and two under review across All marketing methods. This is the original screenshot, cropped to remove the identifying interface. The dashboard figures and graph are unchanged.

Final update: the client has since confirmed that the remaining two products are approved. The final reported total is 245 approved, zero not approved and zero under review.

How to read these results

The original issue report covers Free listings. The screenshot covers All marketing methods. The final 245-product approval status comes from the client’s later confirmation. The audit’s 238-vehicle draft is a separate record, so these figures are not presented as a like-for-like feed recovery comparison.

All 245 larger main-image URLs passed the size and format checks performed during the audit. Google approval and active ad delivery were not established by that image check.
